AWANA @ NorthWoods Church
Spring Semester Starts Wednesday, January 8, 2019
Awana is a discipleship and Bible-memorization ministry during the school year. The goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Jesus Christ and train them to serve him. The weekly program is designed to give boys and girls the opportunity to build lasting friendships, establish positive role models, and provide practical life lessons in a safe and fun Christian environment.
Our Awana Clubs:
Puggles, age 2
Cubbies, age 3 – 5 (not in Kindergarten)
Sparks, Kindergarten – 2nd grade
Truth and Training (T & T), 3rd – 5th grade
Parents of 3 year olds can use their discretion regarding placement of their children. While we generally recommend that 3 year old participate in Cubbies, 3 year olds may participate in Puggles if parents have concerns about maturity.
Wednesday evening meetings typically consist of three parts:
- Game Time gives children the chance to play fun games while learning teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
- Handbook Time provides children with the opportunity to develop relationships in a small group while reinforcing the Scripture memory work that they have done at home.
- Large Group Time is a session designed to offer children practical lessons in Christian living.
Dues for participation in our AWANA Clubs are $0.50 / meeting or $8 / semester. In addition, each group may have fees for uniforms and workbooks.
