Preschool

It’s never too early to learn about God and his love for us! That’s why we’ve created environments for infants through 5-year-olds that are meant to be nurturing, safe, clean, and inviting for you and your little one. Our preschool programs are available during both Sunday morning services and potty-trained 3-year-olds for Awana on Wednesday Nights.

Elementary

At NorthWoods, we want your child to grow in their relationship with God and with others. We do this through grade level classes and gender-specific small groups. Our elementary programs are available Sunday during the 9:00am Service and on Wednesday evenings during Awana.

AWANA

Awana is a discipleship and Bible-memorization ministry during the school year. The goal of AWANA is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and train them to serve Him. The weekly program is designed to give kids the opportunity to build lasting friendships, establish positive role models, and provide practical life lessons in a safe and fun Christian environment. We guarantee your kids will hear the Gospel and learn the truths of God's Word!!!

  • Cubbies: for kids ages 3-5 (who are not in Kindergarten)
  • Sparks for Kindergarten-2nd Graders
  • Truth and Training (T&T) for 3rd-6th Graders
  • Our super fun weekly Wednesday program involves large group games in the Sanctuary, large group Bible lessons with great teachers and small group interaction with caring leaders. We also have theme nights each week. Every weekly Wednesday meeting starts at 6:30pm and ends at 8:00pm.

TeamKID

While our adults meet for The Gathering on select Sunday evenings, our kids from nursery to sixth grade meet in different classrooms going through TeamKID. It features Bible memory games and application of Bible truths, engaging missions videos and activities, and fun activity-based learning all while helping your kids grow to be more like Jesus.

Sunday Mornings

Committed to Safety

The well-being, safety, and security of your whole family is top priority. We have a number of volunteers and paid staff who monitor our church for security. Each volunteer working with our kids has been background checked and been trained on our Child Protection Procedures. Our check-in system for families with children is to ensure kids are safe in their classrooms while their parents and other adults can focus with peace of mind and worship in the sanctuary.

Pre-Register for Sunday!

Arrive a few minutes early and head to our lobby where a volunteer will be waiting to greet you and walk you through the entire check-in process. Let us know you’re coming to make Kids’ Check-In easy!

How do I check-in with my kids?

If you are visiting for the first time, we want to make the check-in process for you and your kids as easy as possible. Click here to fill out our Check-In Form. When you arrive, stop by the NorthWoods Kids’ Check-In that’s in the main entrance lobby. Let the volunteer know that you’ve already filled out a form online, and type in your phone number at the kiosk to print out your child’s name tag along with your individual security code (this is used at pick up). One of our volunteers will walk you and your child to their classroom.

How do I check-out kids?

At check-in your child receives a name tag with a unique code that matches your security code. For check-out, return to the classroom where you dropped off your child, and present your security code to the teacher. This ensures that you’re the only one allowed to pick up your child after service

Do I need a different security code for each child?

Nope! If you have multiple children, every child in the family receives the same code, so you’ll only need one code to pick up each child.

How is my child kept safe?

When you check-in your child, you’ll be given a unique security code tag and a matching coded name tag for your child. The only person who may pick up your child is the person who holds this unique coded tag. All of our volunteers have a background check, and have been trained on our Child Protection Procedures. This ensures no adult is alone with a child. This allows you to rest assured that your child is having fun, learning about Jesus; while you participate in the Worship Service. If your child should need you during the service, a volunteer or staff member will contact you.

I still have questions, who do I ask?

We care about your kids! If you have questions about any of the Kid Ministries, please email our Children's Ministry Director, Brianna Sturgeon.
