Larry Riley

Larry Riley serves as the Ministry Director at NorthWoods Church. He brings over 42 years of full-time vocational ministry experience, having served churches across Kentucky, Indiana, Texas, Florida, Georgia, and Ohio. Most recently, Larry concluded his service as Executive Pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky, where he provided strategic leadership and oversight for a multi-campus ministry.

Previously, Larry served as Lead Pastor of Graceland Baptist Church in New Albany, Indiana, guiding the church through a successful pastoral transition. Earlier in his ministry, he spent more than a decade at First Baptist Church in Clarksville, Tennessee—near Ft. Campbell Army Post—serving in roles including Minister of Education, Senior Associate Pastor, and Senior Pastor. These years shaped his heart for mentoring leaders and caring for military families.

In addition to local church ministry, Larry has served in denominational and mission roles with the International Mission Board, North American Mission Board, and the Indiana Baptist Convention.

Larry is a graduate of the University of the Cumberlands and holds a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have four children and eleven grandchildren. Elizabeth enjoys paper crafting with her grandchildren and has a deep passion for discipling women through God’s Word.
